Impact a Hero

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Provides veterans and their families immediate assistance due to hardship with mortgage and/or rent, car repairs, childcare, and utility payments. Veterans receiving support are working to improve their lives and are required to submit the required documentation. A financial donation may also be considered and granted to a veteran service organization with a specific tangible program to enhance the personal growth of veterans and their families, especially those non-profit organizations addressing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

GROWTH PROGRAMS: Provides veterans personal growth and well-being opportunities through progams and workshops. Impact a Hero's (IAH) collaboration and partnerships with other veteran-service organizations garner further awareness for the veteran community. IAH Leadership and Personal Growth programs/workshops throughout the year include: Leadership Academy, addressing value-based goals; Emotional Intelligence Workshop, understanding self and others; Dare to Lead Workshop, confidence building; Camp Impact, a 5-day, overnight, character strengthening camp for veteran teens; IAH Casey Owens Memorial Library, has an inventory of personal growth, leadership, and veteran-authored books. The Library also has two annex locations to address Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; Heroic Self-Care Retreat, mindful skillsets to address anxiety; Legacy of Freedom Gala, providing like-minded camaraderie and impactful presentations for personal growth.
