Program areas at Impact Life
Impact Life operates community and school-based outreach and education programs throughout the state of Delaware. The goal of the programs is to increase awareness of the risk of substance use disorder (sud), reduce stigma, increase prevention and harm reduction activities, and increase access to behavioral health and medical treatment.
Impact Life offers a variety of specialty programming aimed at addressing the gaps in sustaining long-term recovery and providing recovery-centered events and activities. The healthy women healthy babies initiative provides nutrition education, case management, healthy meal planning along with all recipe ingredients delivered to program recipients, as well as cashless pop-up grocery stores. The therapeutic culinary arts program teaches techniques that use cooking, gastronomy, and an individual's personal, cultural, and familial relationship with food to address the emotional and psychological problems faced by individuals, families, and groups. The adventure recovery program leads individuals through the external and internal wildness with the purpose of building self-reliance, and to uplift mindsets and moods through nature and the outdoors.
Impact Life offers recovery residences in new castle and sussex counties which include programming for men, women, and women with their children. The recovery residences are peer-led and operated. By providing a safe space operated under the pillars of compassion, connection and kindship, these programs promise to create an environment of holistic healing and a strengthened foundation of recovery.
