Small Developer Boot Camp The Boot Camp offers applied knowledge curriculum and one-on-one support to participants who have an actual project they are working on throughout the duration of the class (either property they control or are evaluating for acquisition). For the 2022 fiscal year, we held 4 Boot Camps for 88 participants. Please see Schedule O for futher information.
Recruitment Lecture The one-hour recruitment lecture serves as a preface for an upcoming training. The purpose is to discuss what will be learned at the advanced training, answer questions, and guage interest. Recruitment lectures can be geared toward potential developers, small development champions, or even investors depending upon the targeted audience for the advanced training. The intent of the Recruitment lecture is to be a free event (for participants) in order to get the maximum attendance and exposure in future educational offerings. For the 2022 fiscal year, we presented 3 recrutiment lectures to 139 participants.
Small Development Workshop/Conference Training Small Development Workshops and Conference Training session participants get an overview of what incremental development is--the approach, the practice and its application to common building types and neighborhoods. Deepening session participants' understanding of how to handle site challenges, Faculty lead a hands-on site planning and pro forma exercise to lay out a building on a site by applying a sample zoning code. Conference training offerings are typically tailored to the specific needs of the audience and participants. Small-scale development concepts are be added or removed depending upon the overall goal of the conference host. During the 2022 program year, we conducted 3 workshops for 101 participants.
