Independent Electrical Contractors Association

Our apprenticeship program is our four-year Electrical training program that seeks to provide the skills needed to become a master electrician. This takes place in the form of on-the-job training hours, classroom instruction, and hands on labs. This prepares a student to take all tests required by the state of Kentucky and officiates training hours through employment at an Electrical contractor that is a member of the iec of Kentucky and southern Indiana. Class time is one night per week and on-the-job training is organized with the contractor and reported to the iec of Kentucky and southern Indiana by the student.

Membership at the iec of Kentucky and southern Indiana entails the provision of membership benefits to the members. This is subject to change year over year as deemed necessary by the employees and officers of the iec of Kentucky and southern Indiana. Some benefits include weekly toolbox talks, discounts to continuing education hours, networking within the industry, and access to our apprenticeship program.
