Program areas at Indiana Academy of Science
Provided workshops, seminars and events and for Academy members and for the public to exchange scientific information. Attended by over 500 during 2023.
Publish proceedings of the Indiana Academy of Science presenting the primary research of scientists in Indiana and other states. The proceedings are distributed to over 700 members and 450 libraries in the u.s.
Senior research grant,ias-ilpa bioinventory grant, and welch fund grant programs provided funding to conduct 24 scientific primary research studies at various colleges, universities, and land trust organizations.
Academy dei grants program provided funding for five projects aimed at increasing diversity and inclusion in the scientific community
Publish scholarly books and field guides in biology and natural history to disseminate scientific information. The Academy disburses over 300 volumes each year.
Youth activities - Indiana Academy of Science talent search - funded two top performing high school students to attend the naas/aaas conference to present their research
