Program areas at Indiana Quarter Horse Association
Horse shows: over ten shows were sanctioned by the Indiana Quarter Horse association during calendar year 2020. These events gave breeders and exhibitors opportunities to compete for awards and prize money, which allows breeders to continually strive to improve and maintain the integrity of the breed. Each sanctioned show educates and demonstrates to exhibitors, breeders and the public the humane treatment and well-being of the american Quarter Horse and that all horses and animals be treated humanely and with dignity, respect and compassion.
Annual awards: approx. One hundred twenty-five year end awards were awarded to youth, amateur and professional members of the association who showed and competed in Indiana Quarter Horse association sanctioned shows. The awards recognize those who excelled in showing the abilities, proper condition and conformation of the american Quarter Horse, all through fair competition and good sportsmanship. The award recognition allows all breeders, owners, exhibitors and the public to learn how the best horses perform their conformation and condition to improve the breed and do so with the responsibility for the well-being and humane treatment of any american Quarter Horse entrusted to them.
To promote interest in the american Quarter Horse and to represent membership by promoting youth and adult activities and events.
