Program areas at Indigenous Ministries International
The Middle East Relief aid and Child Sponsorships. Indigenous Ministries provides relief aid (food, water, staple food items, clothing, kerosene, etc.) primarily through local churches assisting refugees suffering after-effects of wars in Iraq, Syria and Sudan. Assistance is given to refugees, as well as IDP minorities (internally displaced peoples) re-settling in the Nineveh Plain, Iraq. The Indigenous Ministries Child Sponsorship Program (CSP) helps children and families with food, educational supplies, care and oversight, biblical spiritual care, medical assistance, youth leadership training, vocational training, personal development, empowerment of women and religious and ethnic minorities. (Continued on Schedule O) Success in the CSP is measured as children's overall health and school marks have improved. Families graduate from IM's CSP when they are no longer in need of financial assistance, the family emigrates out of the area IM is working in, or when a child ages out at 18.
Church Planting and Conferences: In the Middle East and N. Africa, Indigenous Ministries provides training and financial support of Christian pastors and churches. Funding is provided for a limited time with the goal of a healthy, and locally self-sustaining work.
India: Indigenous Ministries provides support to Grace Bible College (an India FCRA entity) in central India. The student body for 2023 was 48 students. The three-year fully accredited under graduate and graduate programs offer biblical training for students who enter a lifetime career in Christian and community service, business, teaching or other secular fields in India. Scholarships from Indigenous Ministries are available for students for tuition, room and board and medical care, depending on need.
