Indigo Mountain Nature Center's Sanctuary Program provides for the physical care, feeding and a permanent home to 47 wild and exotic animals that have been displaced
The Indigo Mountain Education Program offers a series of outreach wildlife education programs. The programs are designed educate the audience on how to coexist with wildlife including how to camp, hike and enjoy the Colorado outdoors safely. In addition, programs outline how to safely protect your home and property from mountain lions, coyotes, black bears and other native wildlife. During the 2017 fiscat year we provided several online wildlife education programs available for individuals, schools and Parks nationwide. Qur Companions for Life program offers support, education and training for individuals needing assistance with problem canines
indigo Mountain Nature Center's Animal Rescue Program provides for the safe relocation of wild, exotic and non-traditional animals from situations where they are in need to other qualified facilities. IMNC and others in a nationwide animal placement network will facilitate the location of appropriate faciltities and coordinate the transport of the animats from one location to another. IMNC volunteers do site inspections in Colorado to assure the quality of a facility before adding it to the approved list. In the 2017 fiscal year we have assisted in the placement of several non-traditional animals to mew homes
