Program areas at Institute for Energy and Environmental Research

Renewable Energy: In collaboration with PSE Healthy Energy, completed a major study on an equitable energy transition in Maryland and a study on an equitable energy transition in Colorado. Performed research and created blog posts on climate and energy.
Healthy Soils: Performed research on nutritional density of foods per acre. Engaged in outreach related to agrivoltaics. Worked on re-organization of the Million Acre Challenge.
Nuclear: Participated in an expert panel related to Japan's proposal to discharge radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean. Wrote research papers on the impacts of nuclear testing. Wrote a memorandum on research needed regarding radiation exposure. Completed the book Exploring Tritium Dangers and arranged a contract for its publication. Wrote an op ed on small modular reactors.
