Program areas at Intend Indiana
Through its build fund, Intend Indiana made 5 loans totaling $615,415.45 to small businesses creating community impacts throughout central Indiana during 2023. All of build fund loans were made to minority and women owned businesses. Build fund also provided small business technical assistance to 206 potential clients.
Through its affordable homematters program, Intend Indiana invested $2,002,687 into creating affordable housing stock, creating 7 new constructions and 4 rehabbed single-family homes. All homebuyers buyers served by the program were located within an opportunity/focus area and had incomes at or below 80% of the area median income. Among the buyers served, 36% identified as african american, 45% as hispanic or latino, and 19% as caucasian, with 54% being female heads of household. Affordable homematters awarded 11 construction contracts to xbe contractors totaling $2,002,687 worth of xbe contracts.
Through edge fund, Intend Indiana closed 6 homepower loans totaling $874,600.00, 6 forgivable 2nd mortgages totaling $540,000, provided affordable refinancing loans totaling $2,016,559.90 for 17 homeowners negatively impacted by covid-19 through its indyamp program and supported an affordable multifamily housing project with a $2 million loan through its bridgesmart program.
