Program areas at Interfaith Neighbors

In 2023, Interfaith Neighbors provided rental, utility and mortgage assistance to approximately 345 families, which included over 800 individuals facing eviction or homelessness,enabling them to remain in their place of residence following a sudden economic challenge.
Interfaith Neighbors has an ongoing, state approved, neighborhood revitalization program that it has undertaken across the west side of asbury park, new jersey. This program is an active effort to address a number of conditions which exist across underserved communities and, taken together, adversely effect the overall health of the community. Interfaith's program entails, among other initiatives, the building of safe, clean, affordable housing, developing workforce programs geared to jobs in high demand industries with living wage salaries, inspiring collaboration across community groups for focused neighborhood initiatives, and programs to bring an awareness to healthy lifestyles and proper nutrition, which is combined with Interfaith's development of urban farms and a hydroponic farm in their underserved neighborhood that has also been deemed a food desert.
Interfaith Neighbors addressed issues of food insecurity effecting residents of monmouth county,new jersey, by preparing, serving and delivering approximately 350,000 meals to the most needy, to homebound senior residents and disabled persons. This program is assisted by over 325 individual volunteers who provide close to 18,000 hours of volunteer service to this program.
