To unite all workers within our jurisdiction for the following purposes: improve their wages and hours of work, increase job security, better working conditions, advance economic, social, and cultural interests; establish peaceful and harmonious relations between members and their employers; assure full employment, promote and support democracy and free trade unionism; and engage in activities necessary to strengthen the labor movement, and to extend the process of collective bargaining throughout all trades and industries.
