International Association for the Development of Ndianda Corporation

One of our projects consists of building a community and school library in the village of Ndianda, Senegal. This library will benefit the children and families of Ndianda, Senegal and the children and families surrounding the village of Ndianda, in the county of Ngueniene, Senegal. The estimated number of people who will benefit from this public and community library is more than 3000. For Year 2017, we have analyzed the data in previous years and have completed the budget for the project library in Ndianda. The building architectural plan has been completed since 2016 with the help of IADN volunteers. The project is already written both in French and translated into English and we have been submitting the proposal to several organizations/foundations to request for funding. In fact, the grant has already been submitted to the AIR FRANCE FOUNDATION and to The Coca Cola Company. As an example of an application submitted in 2017, we would like to show the request we made to The Coca Cola Foundation/Company. Here was our cover letter: Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing on behalf of the International Association for the Development of Ndianda (IADN), a nonprofit organization with the mission of empowering children and families through education, access to basic healthcare and economic opportunities in the village of Ndianda, Senegal. IADN in collaboration with Women to the World International, is please to submit an online grant application to The Coca Cola Foundation. Since our inception as a nonprofit, we have benefited more than 1500 school kids in rural Ndianda, Senegal. Not only we have provided supplies and books to improve reading, we also have also implemented after-school programs inspired by Wisdom Exchange, a successful one-on-one program instruction from the Hamilton School District in Chicago, Illinois. Now, we would like to make more impact in Ndianda by planting a Community School Library integrating Sciences and Computer Learning Center. This project is designed to specifically address women and children's education, community empowerment and access to information for a healthier and more entrepreneurial community. Sr. Manager, Communications . We are still applying for resources. Letters of inquiry are being sent or already been sent. In some cases, like the one above, we get the chance to submit an application. For some others, we do not receive a response. However, we wont quit, we will keep applying. We are still working on finding good match for grant applications and looking for collaborative options to increase the chances of getting funded. Once, funding is obtained, we will start the building construction. We also have implemented an after-school program for 5th and 8th graders in the village of Ndianda. This program helped more than 200 students to improve their academic achievement in English, French, Maths and Sciences. We noticed success for both 5th graders and 8th graders and have renewed the program for the 2017 tax year. The success rate in elementary school was significant and we received good success rates from the students in the middle school. More support is needed in the next year in order to significantly improve program success in the middle school.

We have received support from Women To The World International to fund a program for Women in Agriculture. The beneficiaries of this program live in the county Ngueniene located at about 5 miles from the village of Ndianda. The money received from Women to World was used to fund this program.

In 2017, IADN CORP provided financial resources to the Maternity Ward in the Village of Ndianda to help with the services provided locally. The local Health Center in the village of Ndianda is divided into two departments. One department is in charge of all the Medical services provided by the Center and the second department provides maternity care services including Antenatal Care Services (ANC visits), deliveries, hospitalization, and post natal care services. The maternity department has a consultation office, a labor delivery room, and resting post-delivery room. The maternity is equipped with 5 beds. IADN provided support to the Health Center for the Maternity Department in the village of Ndianda.

This amount is the total expenses for management and money transfer.
