International Association of Baggage System Companies

The iabsc is a trade Association representing the leading airport Baggage System manufacturers, consultants, designers, eds manufacturers, construction Companies, airlines, airports, suppliers of all tiers and associates/affiliates worldwide.at 12/31/2023 the iabsc had 132 member Companies consisting of 598 individual delegates.

The iabsc holds its annual meeting the second thursday of december of each year, for installation of members of the board of directors, for receiving the annual reports, and the transaction of other business. The iabsc is not limited to holding meetings within the contiguous united states.

All iabsc meetings and events are open to iabsc members and industry colleagues, the meeting speakers discuss current events and answer questions posed by attendees or submitted by industry partners.

During the last week in january of each year, the iabsc holds its annual Baggage handling System (bhs) summit addressing current issues, solutions, technology and innovation in the Baggage handling industry. The 2023 summit was two full days and held at the embassy suites dfw north hotel in grapevine, texas.march, may, july, and november bi-monthly meetings were held at the embassy suites dfw north hotel in grapevine, Texas. Each meeting featured an industry expert, airline and/or airport as guest speakers or panelists. Early fall of each year, the iabsc hosts a meeting at a destination venue. In october 2023, the meeting was held at the hilton long beach hotel in long beach, california.additionally, the iabsc's technology & innovation committee hosts an annual mini-summit focusing on new and innovative technology in the Baggage handling industry. The 2023 mini-summit was held on may 3, 2023, at leonardo helicopters in philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Leonardo is an iabsc member company.
