Program areas at International Association of Law Schools
The Association has 11 doctrinal study groups for faculty members. They cover the 11 basic legal areas - contracts, property, civil procedure, etc. Each group studies, researches, deliberates, and publishes their work through a rigorous peer review process.
The Association continues to study, incentivize, and establish guidelines on for innovative teaching techniques. The evaluation, assistance, and certification program establishes peer review and assessment of member Schools' Law programs in conformity with the associations' foundational principles.
The Association conducts a variety of programs to engage Law students and survey their opinions and perspectives on the legal education they are receiving. Law students assist in the work of the Association.
The Association's eac program is developing standards and criteria for evaluation for legal education programs. These are contextual criteria focused on the local, resources and traditions of each Law school in various jurisdictions. The Association provides support and expertise for its members in assisting them in their curriculum and teaching methodologies.the judicial council is a group of preeminent jurists from a variety of jurisdictions who advise the Association on legal education from the perspective of the judiciary.expenses incurred in organizing and supporting conferences and meetings for Law Schools and Law faculty.
