IDEA works actively to foster the success of our Members as leaders in providing reliable, economical, efficient and environmentally sound district heating, district cooling and cogeneration (also known as combined heat and power or CHP) services. In addition to holding conferences and workshops, (since 1909), publishing District Energy magazine (since 1915), and the IDEA Industry News blog, IDEA actively lobbies on behalf of our Members to secure favorable legislation and funding opportunities for the district energy/CHP industry.
