As part of this project, the Batani foundation, with its russian partners, provides consultations and training for russian women entrepreneurs, created an International network of women entrepreneurs in russia and the united states, financed 6 startups in russia, and published a manual on business Development for Indigenous peoples of russia. We are currently working on creating a portfolio of 6 Indigenous women entrepreneurs in russia and promoting their products on the internet.
"defending Indigenous rights" (sponsored by the national endowment for democracy - ned)the project with ned is not public, since the russian prosecutor's office has included ned in the list of undesirable organizations (enemies of russia), and criminal cases are initiated against any russian citizens and organizations that cooperate with ned and receive support from ned.this project is aimed at supporting independent leaders of the Indigenous peoples of russia who continue to fight for the rights of their peoples. The Batani foundation supports the information network of the Indigenous peoples of russia, prepares and publishes analytical reports on the real situation of the Indigenous peoples of russia, provides legal assistance to the leaders of the Indigenous peoples and their organizations against whom criminal cases are initiated (we helped 4 leaders and one organization). As part of the project, the Batani foundation has created and maintains independent information resources (web
"support to the Indigenous peoples of russia for the norilsk nickel campaign" (sponsored by the cultural survival)this project is aimed at carrying out action against the norilsk nickel company, which violates the rights of the Indigenous peoples of russia, as well as to support the Indigenous communities of taimyr affected by the environmental disaster caused by norilsk nickel. The project also earmarks funds for two projects to support the teaching of Indigenous languages.
