International congress - the learning objectives for the International congress of Parkinson's disease and Movement disorders are: through state-of-the-art lectures, hot topic reviews, controversy debates, teaching courses, skills workshops and video sessions, participants will be better able to 1. Describute the pathophysiology and neurobiology of Parkinson's disease and other Movement disorders; 2. Discuss the diagnostic approaches and tools available for Parkinson's disease and other Movement disorders; 3. Discuss the pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment options available for Parkinson's disease and other Movement disorders.
The role of the regional sections are to further the goals and objectives of mds International. The sections strive to increase the interest, education and participation of neurologists, Movement Disorder specialists, non-movement Disorder specialists, trainees, health professionals and scientists in the asian and oceanian, european, pan american, and africa.
Mds offers various clinical outcome assessments to physicians, researchers and health professionals interested in Parkinson's disease and other Movement disorders. These scales work to imporve the diagnosis of Movement disorders and patient care, as well as increase the validity and reliability of research studies.
Movement disorders, the official journal of the Movement Disorder Society, is a highly read and reference journal covering all topics of the field - both clinical and basic science. The Movement disorders - clinical practice, online journal, that focuses on peer-reviewed articles that focus on clinical practice and educational issues relevant to Movement disorders neurology.mds provides various educational courses, web offerings and enduring materials on Movement disorders to physicians and other healthcare professionals around the world.
