Program areas at Intervention and Coiled Tubing Association
Spe/icota well Intervention conference & exhibition - the annual spe/icota Coiled Tubing conference and exhibition held in conjunction with the society of petroleum engineers (spe) is the flagship icota event. This is a 2-day event that is proceeded by a day of short courses.
Dynamic websites - icota global launched a website initiative in 2018 with the goal of having a streamlined, professional web presence along with a dedicated members only area (www.icota.com). Members across all chapters will have access to a large library of industry relevant technical papers, case histories and presentations from icota conferences, roundtables, workshops and monthly chapter technical luncheons. Members will also have access to the worldwide membership directory as well as the icota annual Coiled Tubing unit report. New website initial launch was in november 2018.
Online training courses - two online training courses are offered on the icota website and is offered to all members (across all chapters) at no charge. Non-members are welcome to take the courses for a very small fee. Non-members wishing to take the course, will obtain membership in lieu of paying full price. Currently, there are two courses available: introduction to well Intervention (2 parts) and Coiled Tubing engineering (2 parts). Additional courses will be added.
Coiled Tubing unit worldwide report - icotas Coiled Tubing unit report is an annual count of Coiled Tubing units worldwide and is offered to members at no charge. Data is accumulated from companies within the well Intervention industry and compiled into an easy to read format. This report has been provided by icota for many years.
Intervention technology award - icotas annual Intervention technology award recognizes outstanding technical innovation or application of technology for well Intervention. The application of the new Intervention technology or technique should demonstrate reduced risk, increased production, improved safety or minimized environmental impact and is open to members as well as non-members. Finalists present to the panel of judges prior to the spe/icota well Intervention conference held in the woodlands, Texas. In addition to public recognition during the conference and on the icota website by way of press releases, webinars and videos, the winner will receive the Intervention technology award perpetual trophy plus an award to retain.
