Sun valley tour de force is three days of Events for car enthusiasts, sponsors and guests. Highlights include runs with no-speed limit at phantom hill, the huckleberry drive from ketchum to smiley creek lodge, hosted sponsor Events, a car show, and cars & comedy, the chief fundraising event of the weekend. The event includes entertainment, hosted bar, and a live auction which offers a chance to bid on unique car experiences, like a trip to the bmw driving school and a behind-the-scenes tour at the mclaren headquarters in the uk. Sun valley tour de force raises funds for programming at the hunger coalition, a local nonprofit 501(c)3 organization serving community members struggling with food insecurity. During the three-day weekend, sun valley and its neighboring town, ketchum, are at 100% capacity. The weekend attracts people from all over the country, with at least one thing in common; they love cars. Approximately 50 high-speed drivers pay 2950 per run to drive their car at top speed on a closed highway surrounded by the sawtooth mountains. They crave excitement, exclusivity, and a relaxing weekend in a quaint, world-class resort town. The huckleberry drive is open to 75 drivers and attended by the high-speed drivers, sponsors and visitors from boise, salt lake city and nearby regions. Hosted sponsor Events and private ride & drives are generally limited to 15-30 pre-qualified guests. The car show has approximately 190 participant cars and the cars & comedy fundraiser, will host approximately 180 guests.
