Program areas at Irem Indianapolis Chapter 24
Annual Irem indy sally lentz-crouse scholarship which provides paid registration to the Irem national fall conference along with an allowance to defray associated costs. Its purpose is to promote and reward member participation at the Irem indy Chapter level.
Semi-annual Irem indy member education scholarships provides an allowance to a deserving member to attend any Irem certification education course of their choosing and location. Its purpose is to promote and reward member participation and designation attainment at the Irem indy Chapter level.
Irem indy annual student outreach program - take our future to lunch. The scholarship program includes a cash reward and a student membership to three students, one each from the Indiana university and ball state university real estate programs and the iupui program. Additional student memberships are awarded to students in attendance from other post-secondary institutions. Its purpose is to support future potential leaders in the profession.
Irem Indianapolis Chapter 24 sponsors two community caring events designed to foster member participation, leadership training, and camaraderie while giving back to central Indiana. Heros for the house is a 5k run.walk.bike event benefiting the ronald mcdonald house of Indiana. It is a total net event with all proceeds going to the ronald mcdonald house of Indiana. We are in our 10th year of sponsoring the run with all member volunteers as the committee. Irem Indianapolis Chapter 24 has contributed over 114,000 to rmh with the help of sponsors and participants in the event. Race day includes over 75 member volunteers to assist in the smooth operation and running of an event that boasts over 600 participants. The Irem Indianapolis Chapter 24 golf outing is in its 20th year and benefits Irem indy and the children's dyslexic learning center of Indiana. We have paired with this organization since the outing's inception and continue to support the learning center with a donation every year. We have contributed over 100,000 to this organization that helps tutor kids and teach instructors for students battling dyslexia.
