Irrigation show and education week: The Irrigation show and education week is one of The largest Irrigation trade shows in The world. The exposition exists to educate attendees on Irrigation innovation and products and technologies in The market. Classes and educational sessions are also available for professional development, sessions offered to support business and green industry growth and networking opportunities for furthering collaboration.
Government and public affairs: The Association provides information to members, advocates and allied organizations regarding issues affecting The Irrigation industry. Focusing on legislative and regulatory topics relating to agricultural Irrigation, landscape Irrigation and others, The information is a valuable resource to Association members and other stakeholders looking for information about government activities at The state, federal and municipal levels of government.
Certification: The Association establishes and administers a certification program to develop and support competencies, expertise and experience for Irrigation professionals. Six certifications are currently offered, four of which are endorsed by The u.s. environmental protection agency.
Standards and codes: The Association promotes establishing product and practice standards that drive efficient Irrigation by leading The swat initiative, influencing standards, conducting research, analyzing trends, and documenting best practices.
Workforce development: The Association is committed to developing The future workforce in The Irrigation industry. The Association works to promote careers in Irrigation by providing students and educators The resources necessary to begin or further their Irrigation curriculum and by connecting career seekers with potential careers in Irrigation.
Other program services: The Association maintains specialized funds. The expenses related to those funds are recorded as other program services in The accompanying consolidated statements of activities. The Association also has programs to assist affiliates with management and other services.
