Program areas at Irving Schools Foundation
Irving Schools Foundation (isf) provides financial resources to maximize educational opportunities for teachers and students in Irving independent school district. The organiation has different programs to accomplish this goal. Food for thought to help ensure Irving isd students are equipped for success, we team up with community businesses and organizations to collect and distribute food to students in need. Our goal is to eliminate hunder among the students of Irving isd. C2c store community to classroom store - the store without a cash register - for Irving staff to come and get free supplies throughout the year. Free school supplies, backpacks, and uniforms are just some of the items offered. Supplies for success isf partners with the community to collect backpacks and school supplies each year for the neediest students in the district. Those families are invited to attend an annual back to school event to receive free school supplies, dental and vision screenings, immunizations, and the opportunity to meet over 40 agencies who provide programs and services. Caring & sharing the community is invited to participate in an annual tradition to help students in need during the holiday season. Each year, isf partners with five Irving isd programs who serve the neediest students in our community. Anti-bullying week each year, isf strives to provide a framework and resources for the iisd students to reinforce an anti-bullying culture. We are intentional in sponsoring a campaign that conveys the great value of each student, reinforces that words, choices, and actions have an impact beyond the moment, and provided targeted education for both students and teachers. Scholarships the organization awards college and continuing education scholarships to Irving isd seniors and district employees. The immediate and long-term benefit of the isf scholarship program is remarkable - many students who have won scholarships have gone on to impressive academic and professional careers.
