Program areas at Issa of Los Angeles Systems Security Association
Monthly chapter meetings: issa-la has a monthly chapter meeting, typically on the 3rd wednesday of the month. Meetings are hosted to provide educational forums, peer interaction opportunities, free exchange of information Security techniques, approaches and problem solving by its members, as well as communication to keep the community abreast of current events in information Security. It also encourages sharing of knowledge and skills of those in the field of information Security. In 2023 there were 11 monthly meetings with an average of approximately 70 attendees at each.
Community outreach
The 13th annual information Security summit, hosted by issa-la, was an educational experience for information Security professionals in southern California. This prestigious event brought together leading experts and thought leaders from across various sectors, including intelligence, law enforcement, retail, government, healthcare, finance, and technology. The summit focused on the latest trends and strategies in cybersecurity, giving attendees the knowledge to tackle ever-evolving Security threats. They gained valuable insights into defending critical infrastructure, forging international partnerships, and much more. With 250 registrants, the 2-day event was a great success.
