Program areas at It Takes A Village Mentorship LLC
Each week, our mentors spend time with their mentees at their respective schools instructing them from research based sel curriculum about appropriate emotional control, making positive choices, and positive self- concepts. We provide guidance to students and assist teachers/principals in trying to help students succeed in and out of the classroom. We also create opportunities outside of classroom for positive and enriching experiences, such as A family skate night at our local skating rink, A family movie night at our local theater, A youth leadership conference where the attendees are exposed to over 20 different professions with several different educational paths, and A day of fun at our local civic center including A cheer camp, A basketball camp, and some adult basketball games played by several different professionals from our community. We believe It really does take A Village to help raise the next generation and we are trying to do our part in that.
