Program areas at Izaak Walton League of America - Rockville Chapter
Adult Programs - NRA certified firearm safety training. Maryland DNR hunter safety training classes. Provide low/no cost opportunities for training and supervision in various types of outdoor recreation. We maintain all lakes and wooded areas and a charter and chaper house to hold events and meetings.
Junior Programs - Instruction in conservation/recycling, water sports, archery (National and Junior level olympic), and competition in air rifle and BB gun. Sponsorship and instruction for Boy Scout Troops, including safe use of kayaks and canoes. Provide an opportunity for youth groups to camp, hike, and fish free of charge on the property.
Provide scholarships to college students majoring in conservation fields of study.
