Jacksonville Gullah Geechee Nation Community Dev Corporation

The educational program will bring descendants into discussion during forums and models explaining history of each Gullah Geechee community. As permitted we will also bring in master specialists in Cultural Heritage, crafts such as sweetgrass basket sewing, quilt making and textiles. In giving explanation for the crops grown during enslavement and Antebellum South Era as it relates to the production of cotton, rice, indigo and sugar cane our focus will create on hand learning modules. We expect to attract people of all ages with an interest and a will to explore new educational experiences.
