Jameson Camp serves as a year-round youth development agency with a mission to provide children and youth with a camp experience that promotes character and leadership development, as well as an appreciation for environmental stewardship. The camp is located in Indianapolis, IN and caters to economically challenged children ages 7-17. Last year, Jameson Camp filled 607 camping slots with 459 individual campers who could return for more than one session. Additionally, the camp provides leadership training programming to roughly 76 teens between the ages of 13-17 throughout the school year.

Program areas at Jameson

Jameson Camp served children ages 7-17 of whom over 82% were from economically challenged circumstances. Jameson Camp filled 657 camping slots with 419 individual campers, some of whom returned for more than one session. The Camp also specialized in serving children with minor social or emotional challenges.the Camp enables children to engage in a variety of enriching experiences such as hiking, camping, nature discovery, arts and crafts, sports, culinary arts, and more. The programming is designed to foster positive youth development by promoting positive values and behavior. Since 2021, Jameson Camp has also offered 8 weeks of summer day Camp.
Jameson Camp also provides year-round hosting of non-profit and educational groups of all ages for lodging, meals, meeting space, and mission related experiential and teambuilding activities.
Environmental education programming is provided to school and other youth groups to learn about nature through activities designed on Indiana state education standards for science. In 2023, Jameson served >2,000 students in this program. Challenge course programs are designed to foster teambuilding and to develop confidence and leadership skills. Older children and adults utilize the low ropes, climbing tower, high ropes and zipline. In 2023, Jameson served >2,000 children and adults in this program.
