Shofuso operation: admission fees are generated for many cultural programs being held at shofuso, Japanese House and Garden, from march to november of each year, including tea ceremony, summer and fall festivals, and many other events as requested by jasgp members and other organizations. Cherry blossom festival: annual spring festival has taken place every year in april since 1998 to celebrate The Japanese tradition of The arrival of spring - cherry blossoms. Mainly two day weekend festivities at The horticulture center where shofuso is located. 40,000 participated in 2023. Less in 2022 due to covid. Includes any entertainments, dancing, music, foods, and more. Re-imagining recovery project: jasgp has been awarded grants from The pew center for The art and heritage to make changes and apply our organizational values to acheive diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion in all areas of our work. Through this re-imagining recovery project, jasp re-examinations cultural interpretations and restructures internal organization culture and external relationships. This program is focused on cross-cultural and cross-racial education, programs and events as well as internal staff education on deai and cultural sensitivity training.
