Program areas at Japanese Education and Exchange Fund

Japanese Intern Program: Host and support interns from Japan who are interested in teaching Japanese to English speaking students. The interns are all qualified teachers who work as teacher aids and tutors w/o ASD compensation. TNK supplies housing, meals, clothing, ESL classes,transportation and gifts.
Community Events: Promote community awareness and cultural enrichment through games, costumes, food and music at the annual Cherry Blossom Festival and competitive spirit and fun at the Statewide Japanese Speech Contest.
Classroom Supplies and Japanese Tutoring: Supplement classroom textbooks, materials, computers, certificates, graduation ceremonies, substitutes for teachers at special events and training and tutoring for struggling students
