Long beach usd: in june 2022 february Jazz angels were contracted to teach after school programming, funded 50% by the district and 50% divided between Jazz angels scholarship fund and grants from arts council for long beach, miller foundation and California arts council.
Paramount usd: 6 during school Jazz band classes a week are taught per week at 3 different middle schoools. 25-30 musicians are in each class. Music is arranged at the level of each musician. 2 Jazz angels staff teach the class. Each session also includes performance opportunities for each class.
Studio session: 7-10 different Jazz band ensembles with 10-12 musicians rehearse for one hour every week in 4 (10 week) sessions. Music is arranged at the level of each musician. 2 directors, 1-2 staff and volunteers are present at each rehearsal. Each session also includes performance opportunities for all Jazz bands.
Rising tide: 1 class per week are taught as an after school program. 7-10 musicians in the class. Music is arranged at the level of each musician. 2 Jazz angels staff teach the class. Each session also includes performance opportunities for each class.
