Pittsburgh's only crisis Nursery, families experiencing a crisis, emergency or stressful situation may leave their children ages 6 and younger, at the crisis Nursery for a few hours up to a few days while they take care of their situation. Jeremiah's Place maintains full staffing 24 hours a day, as emergencies may happen at any time of the day. We remain a steady support for families needing our services. Consultation and referral system, Jeremiah's Place offers parents one-on-one time with a social worker to discuss their current family and life situation. The social worker conducts a mandatory in-take and will refer families to additional services and resources that are specific to their situation.
