After the 7.2 earthquake that rocked southwest Haiti in August 2021, our organization began rebuilding homes for earthquake victims whose homes were destroyed. We began rebuilding block homes for single mothers and widows who were at risk for sbuse and sexual assault due to their new state of homelessness. The block homes were two-bedroom houses with a new rock foundation, pressure treated wood trusses with a tin roof, doors, windows and locks.
Caracolie Christian School: Currently education over 300 students in grades Pre-K through 7th. Hot lunches are provided daily to help break the cycle of malnutritution in the impoverished community of Caracolie. Children are taught Math, French, Creole, Haitian Creole, Art, Physical Education, History, Social Studeies, Civics, Bible, Spanish, etc. at our locally accredited school in Jeremie, Haiti.
Self-sufficiency through job creation: Over 50 individuals have been given full time employment helping their families become self- sufficient and alleviate poverty within their communities. These individuals have also been given the opportunity to persue higher education at high school and college levels to help the advance in the future. Training has been provided for them in the fields of construction, biblical education, Haitian cuisine and leadership.
Radio Lourange is our Christian radio station that operates in Jeremie, Haiti providing news, english lessons, biblical education and HOPE!
