Program areas at Jewish Center for Justice

Fiscal Sponsorship of Jews United for Democracy and Justice (JUDJ). JUDJ is a fully fiscally sponsored project of Jewish Center For Justice (JCJ). The primary mission of the JUDJ project is to educate the public to understand the critical importance of preserving American democracy. JUDJ fulfills its mission through weekly virtual town hall programming which JUDJ produces under the name America at a Crossroads (AC). Between April 2020 and December 2023, JUDJ produced more than 150 weekly AC programs. Each program attracted a virtual audience averaging 4,000 viewers weekly. The programs focus primarily on issues such as voting rights, election law, civil rights and other personal constitution rights, freedom of the press, the dangers of racism and antisemitism, electoral college, and other related issues. Another aspect of JUDJ's work is a newsletter communication which is sent out to 40,000 subscribers at least twice per week. The newsletter contains links to what JUDJ views as the most compelling articles from various news sources. JUDJ's email newsletters enjoy an unusually high 50-60% "open rate" since 2020.
Education: JCJ spent 35% of its time working with various cohorts teaching the value of Jewish texts in a modern context. JCJ worked with synagogues to run their Jewish educational programs.
Leadership Development: JCJ spent 50% of its time working with individuals and educating them on next generation leadership on college campuses, seminaries, and high school fellows.
