Program areas at Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation

Throughout the year, JPEF worked on developing and writing its new curriculum, Foundations of Resistance: A Curriculum to Counter Antisemitism for Grades 6-12, as part of the CA Teachers Collaborative on Holocaust and Genocide Education. In June 2023, it presented several of its new lessons to teachers from throughout the State of California during a 3-day seminar.
E-Learning and Website: JPEF added ten new biographies of Jewish partisans to one of its websites and continued to perform routine upgrades to both websites to ensure accessibility of its online professional development, films, lesson plans, and educational resources to students, educators, and constituents. Upgraded the website platform to ensure continued functionality and migrated it. Built a new web platform to accommodate Foundations of Resistance. 123,962 people visited JPEFs websites for information, with more than 43,978 viewing JPEFs films and partisan interviews.
Outreach (Teacher Training and Collaboration): JPEF conducted 11 teacher training institutes, reaching more than 349 new educators. These teachers will reach more than 24,000 students in the next year. JPEF continued engaging in long-term collaborations with other Holocaust organizations and focused on reenergizing and strengthening existing partnerships. To this end it trained 14 new museum and educational staff members who in turn will train colleagues and educators in their locations. JPEF continued working closely with Facing History and Ourselves and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and also joined with Kean University, the Virginia Holocaust Museum and the Tennessee Holocaust Commission in presenting joint in-person training workshops with constituents.
