Jewish Story Partners stimulates and supports high-caliber independent films that offer fresh, nuanced perspectives about the diverse spectrum of Jewish cultures, experiences and encounters. The organization provides grants and hands-on support to creative film projects that shed light on Jewish histories, cultures or themes. During 2022, over $1 million was distributed to 36 film projects while offering more than 75 hours of artistic and strategic support. Many of these projects found distribution through major streaming platforms and film festivals.

Program areas at Jewish Story Partners

In 2023, Jewish Story Partners distributed nearly $1 million to 37 independent documentary film projects, along with over 160 hours of one-on-one advisory support. Jsp grantees continue to reach audiences in theaters and at some of the most prestigious film festivals. As a testament to the caliber of projects we support, one of our grantees was short-listed for an academy award - the second year in a row. The organization this year introduced a new education and impact grants program, which provides free screenings of completed films for diverse audiences in a variety of education and community settings.
