Joan Macy School

Joan Macy School was established in 1989 as a specialized non-public school for at-risk adolescent females requiring a more structured, therapeutic educational setting. Since then it has expanded its program to serve students grades 1-12 referred by local school districts. Class sizes are typically ten students or less, with a full regiment of special education services and an array of courses designed to meet their districts graduation requirements as well as vocational training for improved transition to traditional programs.For 22/23, the school provided 204 school days, 185 individual students were served throughout the year, reflecting 185 students from the surrounding districts.
