Jobs for America's Graduates Tennessee aims to guide students facing graduation barriers towards postsecondary education, productive adulthood, and a meaningful career through the Jag mode. JTG specialists, who are full-time employees of either jtagtn or their respective school districts, served 675 students (645 of whom were seniors) across 29 programs in 21 Tennessee counties during the 2022-23 school year.

Program areas at Jobs for America's Graduates Tennessee

Jagtn specialists (teachers) are full-time employees of either jtagtn or their respective school districts. During the 2022-23 school year jtg achieved the following: 29 program in 21 Tennessee counties. 675 students with 645 being seniors served for 2022-2023 with another 673, 2022 Graduates tracked with 12-month follow up. 2023 Graduates achieved a 99.7% graduation rate. Jagtn specialists were able to contact students over the 12 month follow up period at a success rate of 99.8%. Students across tn enrolled in jag received an average of 162 hours of contact time with their specialist throughout their senior year. Jagtn students were able to remove an average of three barriers to post-secondary success during their year in jagtn, with as many as 7 barriers being removed for some students. 2023 Graduates were awarded more than $7.4m in post-secondary scholarships and grants. Jagtn secured a $2,000,000 appropriation from the governor's fund. for the 8th straight year, jagtn earned the prestigious "5-of-5," now "6-of-6" national award from Jobs for America's Graduates, recognizing high graduation rate, positive outcomes, and communication rates for students in follow-up. Jagtn exceeded all jag national outcomes during the most challenging teaching environment in modern history. Governor bill lee continues to serve on the jag national board. Jagtn created and received approval from the state board of education, three additional courses for grades 9-11, and revised standards, aligned with work-based learning, for 12th grade. Jagtn signed 16 new schools that have launched for 23-24, bringing the jagtn total to 45 programs in 27 counties.
