Research & Campaigns: JWJEF incubated and led campaigns to strengthen workers rights and build power for working people across many sectors of our economy. We provided communications strategy, research, and policy analysis as well as support for grassroots organizing and coalition-building to campaigns at both the local and national levels. Advancing Black Strategists Initiative: JWJEF launched multiple research collaborations, held a fellowship program and hosted strategy convenings to develop the leadership and draw on the expertise of black organizers, academics, communicators, and policy experts in order to advance strategies focused on improving conditions for black workers, particularly in the US South. Coalition Building: JWJEF supported a vibrant network of 26 local coalitions working at the grassroots level in 17 states to educate and organize for economic justice and workers rights at the local and state level. We strengthened the effectiveness of local coalitions by providing trainings, leadership development, technical assistance and capacity building in a range of areas, both organizational and programmatic.
