Description
Jonah's Whale is an organization whose primary mission is to assist homeless, needy families in crisis. In 2010 and 2024, they provided shower vouchers to the homeless and those without utilities. In 2017, they paid $707 for 20 adults to obtain ID for job applications. They also secured bus tickets for transport to medical, dental, legal, and various social services appointments. Providing a chance to warm up and dry out clothing in their cold, wet winters is an added benefit of these rides since the local warming shelter is only open four days a year. Jonah's Whale is located in Newport, OR.
