Jonesboro Church Health Center

Jonesboro Church Health Center (JCHC) staff and professional volunteers examined and treated approximately 299 new patients and a total of 1,998 patients in 2023. The total number of encounters for 2023 was 3,980 which includes primary care visits, physician referrals, dental referrals and lab testing. There are 24,918 patients on file and over 101 communities in Arkansas and Missouri are being served. The activities of the JCHC are directed through the oversight of a licensed medical doctor, one nurse practitioner, three advanced practice nurses, one phlebotomist and one office administrator. Minimum treatment fees of $20 (based on a sliding scale of ability to pay) are requested to assist in covering costs and to provide a sense of not receiving free services. However, no one is denied medical care due to lack of ability to pay. Community volunteers continue to be a vital part of the JCHC's ability to provide quality medical services. In 2023, doctors donated 123.5 hours, advanced practice nurses 158 hours, pharmacists 8 hours and clerical 146.5 hours. Doctors, dentists and area hospitals continue to see patients at their facilities at reduced or zero fees through the JCHC's working referral program. There were 162 physician referrals and 86 dental referrals in 2023. Other community volunteers serve on the board and help with fundraising.
