We take multidisciplinary, human-centered approaches to help government leaders, health facility staff, communities, families, and individuals gain the skills to solve their health and development challenges. We believe that working together is the only effective and lasting way to overcome public health challenges. We work closely with donor agencies, national and local governments, private-sector firms, nongovernmental and faith-based organizations, and civil society groups to advance the public health agenda. We work locally to equip health care providers, private-sector entities, communities, and individuals with the skills and abilities to deliver better care, and deliver care better. Our services are designed to foster self-reliance and resilience.

Through Training and technical assistance, strategic planning, needs assessment, Research, and program evaluation, we equip health providers and communities to strengthen health systems to achieve better health outcomes for all.jsi, which was previously engaged in public health initiatives has now added to its mission to engage in education initiatives. With years of experience and a strong team of dedicated people, we provide a broad range of services to the public and private health sectors to enable people to live to their full health potential. As of 6/30/2023 the related entity, world education Inc, dissolved. Jsi r&t took over their program service operations.bantwana/ovc programs:the bantwana initiative of Jsi works with vulnerable children, adolescents and their families who are affected by poverty, hiv, and gender-based violence. Bantwana delivers critical wrap around services to ensure access to education; social and child protection; economic strengthening; and health, hiv/aids and post-abuse services. Bantwana programming works closely with individuals, families, communities, and governments to respond to these critical needs, while addressing the structural drivers of hiv to increase resilience and decrease the risk of hiv infection. We work in high hiv-burden countries in east and southern africa, including: eswatini, malawi, mozambique, uganda, tanzania and zimbabwe.africa programs: Jsi's africa division supports a variety of education programming in uganda, ghana, mozambique, cote d'ivoire, benin, and mali. These programs involve both formal education and non-formal education support and serve both adults and children as well as the ministries that oversee their well-being and education provision. Africa division's formal education support includes teacher Training in early grade reading and math, early childhood education, bilingual literacy, and community mobilization through capacity building of parent teacher associations/school management committees. The non-formal education work usually involves the provision of functional literacy to out of school children or illiterate adults so that they can either access formal education opportunities or better income generation opportunities. The cornerstone of much of our work is our sensitivity to and purposeful integration of gender issues, specifically around women's empowerment and girl's access to education.asia programs:jsi's asia division currently operates in myanmar, laos, nepal and cambodia and focuses on four thematic areas, basic education, strengthening systems and support for persons with disabilities, migration/anti-trafficking and child labor elimination, and youth development. In basic education, we emphasize early grade reading and early grade math, inclusive education (for children with disabilities and minority language speakers), technology in education, and nonformal education. Our current signature project in the disabilities arena enhances the independence and functional ability of persons with disabilities in laos through equal access to health and social services. We currently support capacity building of local ngos that are working to eliminate child labor in nepal.
