Back to school bonanza - day of back to school readiness, which includes qualified recipients receiving backpacks, school supplies, uniforms,hair cuts,a health kit and dental screening. We served approximately 3,000 angelina county children.
Poverty simulation & awareness-role-playing simulation of living in the life of a low-income family to bring awareness to issues facing the city's most vulnerable families that leads to a change of heart and a change in mindset about people living in poverty
Camp get fit/kids in the kitchen is held during the summer for kids entering grades 3-5. Campers participate in cooking, exercise, and health awareness with a focus on the importance of making lifelong healthy choices.
