Philanthropy, volunteerism, and grantmaking programs: we awarded grants to non-profit agencies in Alameda or Contra Costa county that support women and children in need. We also continued our successful done-in-a-day projects where we volunteered with other nonprofit agencies.
Civil rights, social action, and advocacy programs: along with other Junior League chapters, we advocated for state legislation relevant to five focus areas: human trafficking prevention, violence prevention, health, education, and family support.
