Just Kids Foundation

Jkf receives funding for a saturday program for disabled children ages 2-11, which is designed to provide respite care and social and recreational activities for four hours on saturdays for approximately 20-25 children with autism spectrum disorder and other children diagnosed with developmental disabilities. Play activities are planned to address the functional level of each child. The focus of the program is to develop social skills, self esteem building activities and engagement with peers and adults. The program is an inclusive, community-based program seeking to develop/enhance critical social and functional skills to assist with a child's ability to integrate more fully within the family and community. The program offers a range of developmentally appropriate activites including movement and music.
