Program areas at Ka'ala Farm
Cultural learning center: the cultural learning center provides hands-on, Hawaiian cultural educational experiences to students of all ages with a primary focus on the traditional ahupuaa system (traditional Hawaiian land division and way of living).
Masi (malamaaina summer internship) program. This program works with high school students of the waianae coast. Students participate in an stipend paid intense 7 week program led by kaala Farm staff and cultural practitioners. Students learn the Hawaiian cultural way of life while learning about themselves and where they come from.
School partnerships: the school partnerships program works with schools and other educational programs to target alternative ways of learning. The program provides science-based cultural, and sustainable, hands-on workshops and activities.
