Kanken Connect

Three pod container libraries containing thousands of books each along with other learning materials in three locations in rural kenya. Students read with the help of reading coaches and on their own. Reading coaches also conduct reading training at schools. Any local children are welcome to attend additional reading activities on weekends. Snacks are provided. All expenditures except the us containers were used for these pods. Expenses for foreign portion of this program service accomplishment are 165,559. Number of persons who benefited approximately 50,000. No foreign grants were received. Fourth book pod was in process and expected to open in 2023.
