Heating and energy assistance - provides energy assistance to eligible applicants with heating resources during winter months, assistance is determined by household income and size.
Job training - provides career guidance and counseling, job placement, work experience, occupational skills training, classroom training, leadership skills, resume writing, job club, and other employment services for adults and youth offenders ages 18-24.
Emergency solutions - helps rapidly re-house and stabilize homeless individuals and families. Provides temporary emergency shelter to women, accompanied children, and men in families who fall under the mckinney act guidelines for homeless assistance; provides outreach services to homeless men and intact families; provides clothing for burn out victims or other Community members in need; provides homeless counseling and other supportive services.
Weatherization - energy conservation program that assist eligible households in reducing their energy cost by providing weatherizing maintenance to their homes, including insulating. Measures are determined by dwelling needs evaluation/heat energy audit, including heat duct diagnostics.
Head start - a comprehensive child development program that supports childrens growth from prenatal to age 5 through services that support early learning and development, health, and family well-being. Head start staff actively engages parents, recognizing family participation throughout the program as key to strong child outcomes.
Housing - provides information and financial counseling to individuals and families wanting to buy a home; provides post counseling for new home owners; provides foreclosure prevention, provides rental counseling. As a designated Community housing development organization (chdo), provides homeownership opportunities to low-income residents by providing financial assistance with construction hard/soft costs and land acquisition costs; assist clients with leveraging other resources to make homeownership possible while fulfilling the american dream. Provides home repair and rehabilitation through the use of grant funding and work group collaborations; minor, moderate, and substantial rehabilitation are components of this program. Provides rental security deposits only or a combination of rental security and utility deposit assistance.
