Kenosha Area Business Alliance manages several revolving loan funds aimed at attracting new businesses to and retaining businesses in Kenosha county, creating and retaining jobs, and other economic development activities.wisconsin economic development corporation disaster recovery microloan fund is to provide loans to businesses affected by disasters, either natural or man-made and assist with necessary restoration and operating expenses. City covid-19 relief fund a portion of the fund represents a $500,000 contract with the city of Kenosha to administer revolving loan funds consisting of funding provided by the city of Kenosha. The purpose of the fund is to provide loans to businesses to foster economic development in the Kenosha lakeshore Business improvement district. If the company is in Business one year from the loan origination, the loan will be 100% forgiven. The other portion of this fund represents a $100,000 contract with the city of Kenosha to administer revolving loan funds consisting of funding provided by the city of Kenosha. The purpose of the fund is to provide zero interest loans to businesses to foster economic development in the Kenosha lakeshore Business improvement district.
To further economic development in a less populated Area and to foster growth, kaba purchased a 82 acre parcel of land in the town of salem, Kenosha county. Kaba and the town of salem are partnering on the development of a Business park. The Business park development will provide businesses incentives for high impact developments for job creation and economic growth. During 2017, kaba contructed a manufacturing building and has entered into an incentivized 10 year lease with a company.
Kenosha Area Business Alliance (kaba) provides training opportunities through an extensive catalog of classes and hosts a number of workshops on timely topics and is able to provide customized, onsite training and teambuilding. Kaba also hosts noteworthy member events annually on behalf of the Business community, including key issues breakfasts on current topics such as health care and education, new member orientations, an economic forecast breakfast, a Business awards dinner, an annual meeting, a holiday social, and more. These programs are informative and relevant and provide great networking opportunities with other Kenosha Area organizations.
