Kern Medical was awarded $780,000 to support Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Programs, including Medical Education training and development. Kern Medical Foundation, on behalf of Kern Medical, applied for Song Brown funding. Kern Medical was awarded $2.2M to support its primary care residency programs, including Internal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology. This state funding helps increase primary care education and training in areas of unmet need throughout California. Kern Medical Foundation, on behalf of Kern Medical, applied for state funding (HCAI) to support Kern Medicals Health Career Pipeline Program. Kern Medical was awarded $2.9M to increase efforts, and expand health career opportunities for Kern County students ranging in ages from middle school through college.
